• Extracting transcript text from a Google Drive video page
• Generating AI summaries of transcript content

• Temporarily preserving transcript-related data for user convenience

3. When Data Is Sent

Transcript data is sent to an AI service only when you explicitly use features such as Summarize or Chat. The extension does not automatically transmit transcript content in the background without user action.

4. Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome local storage to store:

• Your OpenAI API key
• The most recently extracted transcript
• Basic extension state needed for functionality

This data is stored locally in your browser and is used only to support the extension experience.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is only shared with third-party AI service providers when necessary to process your requested summary or chat response.

6. Third-Party Services

This extension may connect to third-party AI services such as OpenAI in order to process transcript text and generate summaries or chat responses. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Data Retention

Data stored locally remains in your browser until you remove it, uninstall the extension, or clear your browser storage. Data sent to third-party AI providers is retained according to their own policies.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect data processed by the extension. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy
